We are excited to announce that the Anxiety Treatment Center of Austin (ATCA) now provides Virtual Reality (VR) therapy, with the aim of improving exposure therapies for anxiety disorders.
By incorporating Psious VR equipment into our services, we are able to assist our patients to acclimatize gently to anxiety-producing situations and eventually confront their fears in realistic scenarios. Stressful disorders like acrophobia, claustrophobia, fear of darkness, fear of dogs, fear of flying, fear of driving, fear of public speaking, OCD, and social anxiety can be productively and positively conquered in a controlled, risk-free, and cost-free environment.
ATCA has set our VR technology into motion, at no additional cost to our clients. We are excited to start this form of exposure therapy to underline its effectiveness in new ways. If you are a prospective patient and VR exposure sounds like it may be a good fit for you, contact us, or speak to your ATCA therapist about the possibilities of VR therapy.
