    Meet Trisha Miller, M.S., a doctoral student in Counseling Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. She holds a master’s degree in Psychological Science from Texas Woman’s University and a bachelor’s degree in Applied Learning and Development from the University of Texas at Austin. Before graduate training, she worked as a classroom teacher for several years. We are so excited to welcome her to our team! Right now, Trisha is offering sessions at a reduced rate.     Dr. Michael Bombardier joins ATCA! by Diana Damer November 14, 2013 In addition to his work at the Anxiety Treatment Center of Austin, Dr. Bombardier sees patients at the University of Texas at Austin, and was formerly employed in a clinical leadership position at Stony Brook University. He brings with him a wealth of experience applying scientifically-developed treatments to help people living with anxiety.

    The Anxiety Treatment Center of Austin is proud to be sponsoring the OCD Texas Conference in Austin on Sat, October 13! The conference will feature advocacy and awareness-raising events to coincide with OCD Awareness Week (October 8-14). Dr. Damer is moderating a panel on “The Simple, Unwashed Truth — Dispelling Myths and Sterotypes about OCD” and our staff will be present to discuss OCD and its treatment.   • Child Anxiety Therapist Dr. Caitlin Gannon Joins ATCA!

    We are excited to welcome Dr. Caitlin Gannon to the Anxiety Treatment Center of Austin! Dr. Gannon graduated with her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University in California, and completed her predoctoral internship through the Texas Child Study Center/Dell Children’s Medical Center . Despite having to get used to the heat of Texas summers since moving here two years ago, she has enjoyed soaking up all that Austin has to offer — including all of the great food, live music and hiking trails along the greenbelt! Dr. Gannon brings to ATCA extensive experience working with children , adolescents, young adults and families. While Dr. Gannon treats a broad spectrum of disorders, her expertise is working with anxiety-based disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) . She values close collaboration with parents, schools, physicians and other practitioners. Dr. Gannon believes you should not be in therapy forever. The approaches she uses aim to empower you to increase your awareness and control over your thoughts and behaviors that contribute to your challenges within a short period of time.   • Join us for our Open House

    Join us for our Open House by Diana Damer October 14, 2012 The Anxiety Treatment Center of Austin is hosting an Open House for professionals, prospective patients, and members of the Austin community. The Open House will be on Friday, November 16, from 4 to 7 pm at our offices at 8705 Shoal Creek Boulevard, Suite 108. Our staff will be on hand to discuss our approach to anxiety and the services we provide. We hope to see you there.

  • New Groups Starting Soon

    The Anxiety Treatment Center of Austin is excited to begin offering anxiety treatment groups . We have seen the need to provide groups for people living with anxiety in the Austin area for some time, and the addition of new staff and our new offices have made this possible. We will begin offering an anxiety support group , for people who want to learn new coping skills and ways of managing their anxiety, while meeting others who are in similar situations. If you are interested, call or email us and we will be happy to discuss the group. We plan to begin offering additional groups very soon (if you have a specific group topic that you would like to see offered, feel free to contact us and let us know!).
