Group Consultation

OCD & Anxiety Consultation Group for Therapists

A small, expert-led consultation group for clinicians who want more support, clarity, and confidence in treating OCD and anxiety.

At Anxiety Treatment Center of Austin, we know that treating OCD and anxiety can be deeply rewarding — and clinically complex. Even well-trained therapists can find themselves wondering how to move forward when a client is stuck, when reassurance-seeking shows up in subtle ways, when exposure work becomes difficult to implement, or when anxiety keeps changing shape.

This small consultation group was created to give therapists a steady, thoughtful place to bring those questions.

Co-led by Diana Damer, Ph.D., Founder of Anxiety Treatment Center of Austin, and Loni Itah, LPC, Founder of Resilience Room Counseling, the group offers practical, case-based consultation for clinicians working with OCD, anxiety disorders, and related concerns.

Rather than a large training or lecture-based workshop, this is an ongoing, interactive consultation group. Participants are welcome to bring active cases, clinical questions, treatment-planning dilemmas, or moments where they feel unsure what to do next. Together, we will think through case conceptualization, evidence-based interventions, therapeutic stance, and ways to help clients move toward meaningful change.

Consultation may include discussion of ERP, ACT, I-CBT, inhibitory learning principles, values-based exposure, motivation, accommodation, reassurance-seeking, avoidance, and common stuck points in OCD and anxiety treatment. The goal is not to offer one rigid protocol, but to help therapists apply evidence-based care with flexibility, clinical judgment, and compassion.

Because the group is intentionally small, there is room for individualized feedback, collegial discussion, and real clinical nuance. Whether you are building your confidence in OCD and anxiety treatment or looking for a professional community that can help you sharpen your work, this group offers a supportive space to learn, consult, and grow.
