- Child Anxiety Therapist Dr. Caitlin Gannon Joins ATCA!
We are excited to welcome Dr. Caitlin Gannon to the Anxiety Treatment Center of Austin! Dr. Gannon graduated with her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Palo Alto University in California, and completed her predoctoral internship through the Texas Child Study Center/Dell Children’s Medical Center . Despite having to get used to the heat of Texas summers since moving here two years ago, she has enjoyed soaking up all that Austin has to offer — including all of the great food, live music and hiking trails along the greenbelt! Dr. Gannon brings to ATCA extensive experience working with children , adolescents, young adults and families. While Dr. Gannon treats a broad spectrum of disorders, her expertise is working with anxiety-based disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) . She values close collaboration with parents, schools, physicians and other practitioners. Dr. Gannon believes you should not be in therapy forever. The approaches she uses aim to empower you to increase your awareness and control over your thoughts and behaviors that contribute to your challenges within a short period of time. - Dr. Whitney Wheeler Joins ATCA!
We are excited to welcome Dr. Whitney Wheeler to the Anxiety Treatment Center of Austin! Dr. Wheeler graduated with a PhD in counseling psychology from the University of Kentucky. She is originally from North Texas, but grew up spending a lot of time in Austin. Since moving to the area, she has been enjoying the live music, museums, and exploring all the local restaurants the city has to offer. Dr. Wheeler has experience working with children, adolescents and young adults, and—as an aside—has a toddler of her own. While she likes to treat the full range of anxiety disorders , Dr. Wheeler has a special interest in seeing patients with co-morbid anxiety and depression, as well as working with anxiety related to trauma and PTSD . We are thrilled to announce the newest addition to our team, Anne Joseph, M.Ed., LPC-S! Anne comes to Anxiety Treatment Center of Austin with over 13 years experience in providing intensive mental health services for children, adolescents, and families. In addition to ATCA’s specialties of anxiety and OCD, Anne carries expertise in externalizing behaviors, and with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, abuse, and/or neglect. We are grateful to have Anne on our team supporting families and children who need support and care! In addition to Anne’s clinical services with children and families, she enjoys supervising LPC-Associates. Those interested in supervision can contact Anne at anne@anxietyaustin.com.

ACTA would like to welcome our newest member, postdoctoral fellow Dr. Janna Greeson ! She comes to us after completing her Ph.D. from UT and internship at UT’s Counseling and Mental Health Center. Dr. Greeson specializes in treating health anxiety and public speaking fears. She is adept at working with a wide range of clients, including both children and adults. Dr. Greeson is currently accepting new clients.
